God has a calendar

Special days
- The calendar used by God is the Jewish calendar
- I believe this fact because God has marked certain days on this calendar to be special

Evidence that God has marked some days as special

Things that happen on the 9 of Av (5th month in the Jewish calendar):

Five misfortunes befell our fathers ... on the ninth of Av. ...On the ninth of Av it was decreed that our fathers should not enter the [Promised] Land, the Temple was destroyed the first and second time, Bethar was captured and the city [Jerusalem] was ploughed up. -Mishnah Ta'anit 4:6

God specifically want the Children of Israel to remember certain times

The 3 Sacred Assemblies:

Lev 23:1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.

In ancient Israel, a religious Jew will travel 3 times each year to Jerusalem to celebrate these 3 "Pilgrimage Festivals" (sacred assemblies):

Passover (Pesach)
Weeks (Shavuot)
Tabelnacle (Sukkoth)

God has decreed that Jews must celebrate them forever:

Lev 23:14 ... This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.
Lev 23:21 ... This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.
Lev 23:31 ... This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.
Lev 23:41 ... This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come;

Did you notice God used the phrase lasting ordinance not just once but four times ???

Sure looks important to me...

But why is it important to remember these days ???
